Welcome to Reinhold Koch's presentation about managing software!
Open Source: Open Innovation
For long established problems traditional commercial software provides solutions of the shelf, you
just have to select. For newly emerging or quickly changing situations often there is no obvious
solution, innovative approaches are needed.
Here experimenting with open source software might be most beneficial: anybody can try
and may adapt it to special circumstances.
Something reasonably generic which can easily be configured to special situations seems to be
the thing to find.

Progress
The prospect for synergies leads me to publish tools that seem to be fit for general use.
Put it to a test - it's free (and good)!!
With your feedback from situations I did not foresee we can distill even finer spirits -
more useful tools.
To ensure this scheme can work I placed all programs under GNU General
Public License (GPL) version 2. Have a look at it here or at the
original site
http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html.
Know-How
Stepwise I want to set up know-how repositories on
- software engineering in the small
- tuning SAS®
- work environment around SAS
- data warehousing
Practical Collaboration
Finding an optimal solution for real life situations needs theoretical know-how and practical skills.
Preferably the result can survive in day to day life: it may not consume too much resources,
be reliable, and robust.

If you think my experience might help you get things clear or things done I am happy to answer your call:
